Phil’s Fetish

Adding to yesterday’s misfortunes, I had the distinct displeasure of catching a few minutes of Nashville’s favorite reptilian troglodyte Valentine on the way home last night. He was explaining to someone that the reason we can’t allow gays to get married is because it will lead to people marrying goats.
Sigh.
OK, well at first I thought, Phil, surely you’re smart enough to see that the holes in your logic are wide enough to drive even a truck hauling your ego through them. Therefore the only rational explanation is that you’re an intellectually dishonest slimeball who’s willing to say whatever he has to say in order to exploit the worst of the lowest common denominator, manipulating bigotry and everything else creeping in the darkest of human souls just to make a buck and a name for yourself.
But *surely* that’s not the case is it?
Maybe it’s just that given the average IQ of the people with whom you surround yourself, you can no longer tell the difference between a sapient adult human being with the capacity to enter into a legal contract — and the average goat?
Or have we just discovered what sort of creature gets you feeling all hot and tingly?

I cannot listen to that man.
Actually, the few times I’ve been stuck in the car and forced to listen to him it’s been like a trainwreck from which I could not look away. He’s bizarrely mean and somewhat obtuse, but he fascinates me.

I wonder why Phil doesn’t stand up for traditional marriage as defined by the word of God as depicted in the Bible. Could it be that rampant Biblical polygamy isn’t the only thing the Bible got wrong?

Heh, yeah that’s pretty much how I see it. Of course my day is always much more pleasant when I don’t encounter him at all, but I’m a channel surfer and sometimes I have to rubberneck when I land there.
