It seems that even “Socks” Clinton has crossed over to endorse Barack Obama:

Probably at least partially in retaliation for the gross indignity of being named “Socks”.

    That is strictly an Obamaly. There’s no way Socks would turn his back on the Clintons. Though I think we all know what he did to Buddy…

    LMAO I can’t believe Socks has his own Wikipedia entry. Cripes, he’s about to turn 17, which it looks like puts him somewhere in his eighties?

    But this seemes to be the money quote:

    When the Clintons left the White House in 2001 they took Buddy to their new home, but left Socks under the care of Bill Clinton’s secretary, Betty Currie.

    I think that would explain his shifting allegiances. Gore was probably mostly loyal back in the day too :)
