End of the day?

Biden came off as human, honest, and working for the right side of history — even if wonkish and boring.

Palin came off as a great salesperson.

Thing is, Republicans will love her pitch, but the independents in the middle here know a stupid superficial infomercial when they see it.

Biden won, handily.

palin did ok, but that “your plan is a white flag of surrender” was a thinly veiled expression of “i got nothing”

at least they agreed on a few things. i like that a republican is acknowledging that prejudice against LGBTs is no longer acceptable. so what if they don’t want to redefine marriage? i could care less about marriage. it means nothing nowadays anyway.

to me, both came off as great salespeople. they both spun the “your running mate didn’t vote for THIS!” and both replied “well that’s because my running mate didn’t like the THAT that was a attached to it!”

at some points, it seemed like they were having a smiling contest between them… i never seen so many perfect white teeth…

on a related note, did you happen to catch letterman later on? they had a review of what dubya has accomplished in office based upon his campaign promises. it was like five minutes long and left me rolling. check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-N8_u1FLu30
