The Opera last night was packed, so the fundamentals of the economy must be strong!

Opera attendance is certainly a key indicator. :)

According to a CNN talking head yesterday, all is well and the working man is just a whiny-butt.

How was the opera. I’m using my pass for La Boheme.

Pretend I put a question mark in the appropriate place.

My attendance at the hockey game last night is definitely not an indicator of my economic status (I know, hockey, opera – totally the same thing). If I have to move into a cardboard box in order to keep going to games, I’ll do it. :)

The opera was good. I’m a little bit lukewarm about Mozart, so it wasn’t my favorite piece, but it was a well done light-hearted comedy. The Leporello character was pretty funny, and the woman playing Donna Elvira was fantastic.

Still I prefer the more gut-wrenching drama side of opera, so I think you made the right call waiting for Puccini. I am so looking forward to that one.

Olivia, I think clearly we need a federal program to provide assistance when needed to ensure that everyone has access to the best hockey this country has to offer. Hockey is a fundamental right, not just a privilege :)
