This is pretty cool. Mother Jones told us about The Typealyzer, which probes your blog and computes your Myers-Briggs type based on content:
INTP – The Thinkers
The logical and analytical type. They are especially attuned to difficult creative and intellectual challenges and always look for something more complex to dig into. They are great at finding subtle connections between things and imagine far-reaching implications.
They enjoy working with complex things using a lot of concepts and imaginative models of reality. Since they are not very good at seeing and understanding the needs of other people, they might come across as arrogant, impatient and insensitive to people that need some time to understand what they are talking about.
UPDATE: I took this quickie online quiz which calls me an INTJ. I’m sure it’s not the most scientific quiz ever, but this does feel more accurate:

That’s pretty neat. The typanalysis is not how I’d describe myself, but then I’ve been called delusional before.

I am Doer apparently. I thought I was a chick that wears pajamas, is in my parents basement navel-gazing.
Wow. I have purpose now.

Here’s a totally different question: are we a different type in pursuits beyond the blogs? And does a particular focus (for instance, on politics), audience, and level of transparency determine our type more so than other projects, relationships and attitudes?

I was thinking the same thing. It’s been a while since I’ve taken a test, but I seem to remember being pegged an INFJ in the past. And I can see how, since, with the exception of the occasional cryptic drunken rant, I generally don’t talk much about personal issues here, that would turn into INTP when my generally ideological content is analyzed in a vacuum.
